  1. om sarva-maṅgala-māṅgalye
    śive sarv' ārtha-sādhike
    śaranye tryambake gauri
    nārāyaṇi namo' stu te.

     
    O the most auspicious among
    those that are auspicious!
    O the one that grants the
    fulfilment of all prayers!
    O the one refuge of all!

    To Thee, consort of Shiva,
    known also as Tryambaka and
    Gauri, To Thee, O Nārāyaṇi,
    our salutations

     

  2. sṛiṣṭi-sthiti-vināśānāṁ
    śakti-bhūte sanātani
    guṇāśraye guṇamaye
    nārāyaṇi namo' stu te.

     
    O Eternal one! Thou art the
    Power that creates, sustains
    and destroys the worlds.

    On Thee Objective Nature rests,
    and of Thy being is it constituted.
    To Thee, O Nārāyaṇi, our salutations!

     

  3. śaran' āgata dīnārta
    paritrāna parāyane
    sarvasy' ārti-hare devi
    nārāyaṇi namo' stu te.

     
    O Mother Divine, noted for Thy
    zeal in affording protection to
    the weak and the afflicted!

    O Thou, the dispeller of the
    miseries of all! To Thee,
    O Nārāyaṇi, our salutations!

     

  4. jaya nārāyaṇi namo' stu te
    jaya nārāyaṇi namo' stu te
    jaya nārāyaṇi namo' stu te
    jaya nārāyaṇi namo' stu te

     
    To Thee,
    O Nārāyaṇi, our salutations!

    śive sarv' ārtha-sādhike
    śaranye tryambake gauri
    nārāyaṇi namo' stu te.

     
    Om. Auspiciousness of all that is
    auspicious! Śive! Accomplisher
    of all (our) desires! Refuge (of the
    afflicted)! The three-eyed One!
    Gauri! O Nārāyaṇi! Obeisance to you.

     
  2. sṛiṣṭi-sthiti-vināśānāṁ
    śakti-bhūte sanātani
    guṇāśraye guṇamaye
    nārāyaṇi namo' stu te.

     
    Power behind creation,
    preservation, and destruction!
    The Ancient One! Support of the
    gunas! Full of (blessed) qualities!
    O Nārāyaṇi! Obeisance to you.

    paritrāna parāyane
    sarvasy' ārti-hare devi
    nārāyaṇi namo' stu te.

     
    Ever devoted to the protection of
    those humble and afflicted souls
    who have surrendered themselves
    to you. Destroyer of the afflictions
    of all! Goddes Nārāyaṇi!
    Obeisance to you.

    guṇāśraye guṇamaye
    nārāyaṇi namo' stu te.

     
    The power beyond all creation,
    preservation and destruction!
    O eternal one! O ground of the
    Gunas! O Narayani!
    Our salutations to you.

    Ever devoted to the salvation
    of the lowly and the suffering
    who seek shelter with you!
    O desroyer of all misery!
    O devine Mother! O Narayani!
    Our salutations to you.

    auspiciousness, O Mother Divine,
    we offer our salutations.

    To You, O Mother, who accomplish
    every object and are the giver of
    refuge, we offer our salutations.

     

  2. sṛiṣṭi-sthiti-vināśānāṁ
    śakti-bhūte sanātani
    guṇāśraye guṇamaye
    nārāyaṇi namo' stu te.

     
    To You who are eternal, and
    whose power creates, sustains
    and destroys the universe,
    we offer our salutations.

    You are the substratum and
    embodiment of the Gunas.

     

  3. śaran' āgata dīnārta
    paritrāna parāyane
    sarvasy' ārti-hare devi
    nārāyaṇi namo' stu te.

     
    O Mother, You are the Saviour of
    the dejected and depressed;
    we take refuge in You. It is You
    who remove the sufferings of all!
